Sunday Brave is a band with a great mix of musicians who have backgrounds inspired by almost every genre.
On their new EP "Taking Over" they've created deep solid rock tunes with dynamic melodies that will move your head and hum the guitar licks and boom of the bass for a while.
The founding members of Sunday Brave are KC Gonzalez and John Warnet, who have known each other for over 10 years. During that time there's always been the desire to put KC's brilliant writing styles to good use since the two always clicked musically. Finally in the middle of 2011 they agreed to collaborate and form a band. Amazingly with only a few auditions they were able to quickly implement the talent needed to get things going and after only four months, the band was in the studio laying down the tracks for their debut release "Leads To Another". Fast forward three years... KC and John are now joined by two new powerful and energetic members: Clauzenei Santos on bass, Marcelo Buby on lead guitar.
Sunday Brave's re-energized sound is a dynamic blend of groove and melody driven original rock with some spiced up covers thrown in. Jersey natives who rock the northern part of the state, waiting to engrave their names like the bands that have walked down the same path.

John grew up in Passaic County NJ and started playing drums when he was 10 years old. What started as simply playing in high school quickly developed into a very active passion. As a seasoned studio artist he has tracked drums and percussion on hundreds of recordings for independent artists. Performances of note were inside the halls of some of the most recognizable venues in NY/NJ area including: Liberty State Park, Starland Ballroom, The Stone Pony, The Bitter End, and Webster Hall to name a few. He also co-wrote and co-produced the songs on Sunday Brave’s latest EP “Taking Over”. His passion for the instrument branches beyond the studio or stage in offering professional tuning, refinishing and rebuilding services for other drummers. John proudly endorses Tama drums and Sabian Cymbals.
Born and raised in the Philippines, I started out young with music. I can still remember the first time my uncle gave me the cassette for Genesis and Earth Wind and Fire. From then I became obsessed with great music. My brother and I moved to the states on 1997 where the era of music just turned with bands like Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine where I realized that this is the type of music my soul wants to create. Not until college that I learned about all the great bands: Zepplin / Hendrix / Strokes / Ramones / ACDC, that really ignited something inside. The sound of pure classic rock and roll.
After sometime coming back home, John and I started the band on 2013 with the first integration of our sound. It was more singer songwriter back then, now looking back after all these years. But we have finally found a sound that all of us grooves to. The nostalgia of rock and roll that we have forgotten.
While looking up to people like Dave Grohl and Phil Collins who I aspire to be, and guitar players like SRV and Hendrix. Even listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival all the way to The Black Keys. You can find the sound that surges through when we jump around and dance to the beat.
2017-2018 was huge for us. We managed to get on to radio through the help of Tinderbox Radio. Along with opening for bigger acts in: Trapt/ Smile Empty Soul /Corey Glover from Living Colour. We are positioning ourselves hopefully so everyone can get the sense of what we really are. Also for my all time bucket list…..
